Samsung LNT4661f problem brown screen, please help!!!!!
This is my Samsung lnt4661f 46" LCD and it's fried… I took it to a local TV repair shop, only to have them tell me there was nothing wrong, it never acted up. They had it for a week. I'm stumped. Thanks in advance for any help that is offered.

Me too! It is the LCD panel. I replaced the power supply and T-Con board, it didn’t change anything. But, I figured out when I press the screen (from front and back side) together in a certain spot the problem goes away, until I let go.
Please complain to Samsung, if they get enough complaints I would think they would extend the warranty or do a recall or something.
I have the same model and this just started happening to mine yesterday. it goes away after i leave the tv of for 10 mins
Samsung tvs are GARBAGE and they take a DUMP just after your warranty expires.
DON’T BE THE NEXT SHAMSUNG SUCKER !!
i paid $99 for a tech to come out and he told me that the problem is with the panel, which cost 1500 just for parts.
Correct that, this is a problem with all series of LNT4661F TVs
What do we do?
I have the same problem and the technician said that many people with the LNT4661FX are experiencing the same issue. HOw can we get Samsung to extend our warranties and repair it for us? This is for the shadow problem (not the turning on problem which is apparently different).
Sorry for not responding to everyone’s comments, forgot I posted it. I took it to the LCD repair shop, but it never happened, after 2 days left on, it never messed up. I was charged $75 and sent on my way. 20 minutes after I hooked it back up at home , it started again….. 6 Months, still fried. I took and left the back off, and literally slam the opposite side (right) against the wall until it stops. It looks bad, but it really works, for a while. This TV is Junk…….
Mine does the same thing. There are 2 distinctly different problems, and mine has had them both. My son and I replaced the capacitors, that fixed the on/off problem. I have not been brave (or rich enough) yet to have a service man come to diagnose the picture problem.
… and if you tap it on the bottom left corner it stops.
I have the same problem with mine, had it for about a year and 2 months (2 months past warranty), and on top of that, it’s taking about 5 minutes to BOOT when I try to power it on (on-off, on-off, on-off, …).
Same issue, did you figure out the problem? I also took mine apart and all the capacaters were fine… This is driving me insane as I’m stationed overseas and don’t have any repair shops around.
Mine does the same thing. First, it only lasted 30 seconds and now up to 30 minutes. Once everything gets hot, it works fine.
I don’t think it is capacitor problem that people have with the same model. I opened mine up and they looked fine. Plus the TV turns on with no issues. Most capacitor issues lead to the TV not turning on.
Mine started doing this a week ago. Its random and doesn’t last long. Maybe a minute or so. Did yours do the same and then become permanent? Did you find a solution yet? My model code is LNT4661FX/XAA.
Any feedback on this issue from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Any luck? Mine is doing the exact same thing
Any luck finding the problem? Is it the power supply problem everyone seems to be having except yours still powers on?
