The TV does not have an S-video port and I am wondering what cable can be used to connect it to an ACER laptop about 2 years old.

In response to Tach3232… I thought the 46V3000 was newer (and therefore better). You are saying that Sony’s new 46V3000 is not as good as its older 46XBR3?

When I hit the source button, nothing appears. It is hooked to cable, we can change channels and hear sound, but no picture. HELP

I want to sit in my recliner with a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard and use my new 46-inch Sony Bravia LCD big screen TV as my computer monitor while doing things like word processing and answering email. I am currently looking to buy a computer with an HDMI output for this purpose. My question regards picture quality. Will the image be suitable for text-based purposes, even for small fonts? Hopefully someone who has already tried this will answer this question. (Please don’t just guess.) Thanks.
