i say sony or sharp are the top two best brands for a tv you cant go wrong with either of em
You HAVE to go to a store and see models side-by-side. There’s no other way to judge the “best”, because what you like may be different from what I like. My daughter bought a 32″ LCD just before going back to school this year. We went out shopping, expecting to pick a Sony or a Sharp. It came down to an LG vs. a Samsung. (The LG won.)
All of those brands you list have entry level, mid range, and high end models in those sizes. So outright best brand isn’t a straight up answer. You have to look deeper at specific models.
Panasonic does not make LCDs in that size. They only make Plasmas in large sizes. Those are really the best TVs you can own. They will out perform any LCD (LED or not) from any of the other brands. A G or V series would be a flagship option and the best of the best in televisions. But you could save a few dollars and go with a S series in those sizes. You would still get really high end performance. Panasonic is one of the single most reliable brands as well.
If you are more interested in an LCD, I think any of the S’s would serve you extremely well. That would be Sony, Sharp, or Samsung. Any of those would be a good choice.
From Sony, I would look at the W series for a good mid to high range option. It’s not overloaded in unnecessary features, but has all the important visual ones to give a good image. The higher Z or XBR lines are also great options (but quite a bit more expensive).
From Samsung, I would look primarily to the 6 series. So 650 or 630 models. Maybe a 7 series, but the price jump there for the added contrast is quite a bit to ask (some of the added price is for multimedia features that must people don’t use). The series 6 is a good bang for the dollar. For a really high end experience though look to the series 9 or the LED series from Samsung.
From Sharp, I would look at the D80 or D85 lines. I think that would be the best bang for the buck option from them. For their high end options look at the 700 series which is their LED line.
Personally, I wouldn’t even flinch and would get a Panasonic TC-P46G10 or Panasonic TC-P50G10. Can you find an equivalent? Maybe. Can you find better? Not bloody likely. The 46″ is $1,086 on Amazon and the 50″ is $1,130.
I recommend Samsung LN52B750 52-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV .

I would recommend Sony BRAVIA and you can also find the best quality HDTV with the best price on these site.
I just check Amazon site, and this two model was the best seller in 46″-52″ category
