buy a coffee table like TV stand, they work wonderfully and does not cost a much.

I have 2 Salamander Synergy Triple 20 tv stands and I think they are some of the best TV stands ever made. The stand has a 750lb weight capacity and is completely customizable based on the size and colors that you are going for. Sides, Doors, feet, lights, extended back panels, etc etc can all be added. The openings are all sized for “real componants” unlike some of the TV stands that are being sold at electronic stores which are generally too narrow or not deep enough for full sized receivers and other componants. The parts are made from all over the United States and the company is headquartered in Bloomfield, CT. I’ve been to their factory before and let me tell you they run an interesting business there.
The only downside to all of this customability is that you are going to pay a pretty penny for it. My suggestion would be to see what you would want to get using the custom configurator tool on the website (link below) and then cruise places like ebay and craigslist to find a used one. The price will be in the upper right hand corner as you configure your product. I bought my 1st triple 20 on ebay new for 1/2 the price that they wanted from the factory.
