to get better clarity, what is the minimum distance for seeing 46 inches LCD tv?

am planning to buy a lcd tv for my room, i dnt know wat tv size suits for my room?…
actually my room size is 21/12 feet?…weather if i get 46 inches would it give me the best clarity?

optimal veiwing distance is 2.5 X the diaganol. 46 X 2.5= about 10 feet
For optimal viewing distance, determine the distance from where you will be seated to the screen. Room size, in it self, means little to nothing.
