i heard it makes the graphics look better but i already got the adapter and the 3 color wires and the graphics look great should i grab the hdmi wire or is it just the same thng

I already use a digital audio cable from the cable box to my surround system. Will the Hdmi take away audio from the digital audio cable? Does it share or split the audio signal? Should I just use component cables?

I have a Samsung LN46A550 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, and I have a LG DR389 DVD recorder/player. I found that the TV has HDMI ports but the DVD recorder doesn’t, but both have component cable ports. So I was wondering is their a type of converter that can convert component signals from the DVD recorder to HDMI for the TV?

I have just purchased a package for a 46 inch xbr6 hdtv, home theater system(sony htss3600), and a blue ray player. i also have a xbox 360. i think the home theater stysem reciever has 3 hdmi inputs. How many cables will i need?
