I’m looking for a great brand-name TV that’s 46″ or 50″ in size, Plasma or LCD that’s about $1800 in price range….could somebody please help me out?

Money is sort of a factor and i wanted to know is it worth it to get an LCD for so much more for the same size than a plasma?

ok my parents purchased a new 46 inch samsung lcd hdtv. we hooked it up and everything and the picture looks a lot more fuzzy than are old standard tv we had. we have cox cable and only have the 99 chanels. we didnt get any new cables or anything and i think the chann els we have are standard definition and that might be the casue. what can we do to get hdtv channels or do we need to purchase some hdtv cords? if we do need to get hdtv channels how much more a month will this about cost? anything is appreciated, thank you
