my son threw a toy at my 46′ rca lcd flat screen tv. it started out as a little dot and its a line that is spreading across the middle of the screen. do you think it would the same to buy a whole new tv and pray it doesnt happen again or would it be cheaper to fix the screen.

Only if it has been off like overnight, then when we turn it on in the morning half the screen is black, and you can’t see that side very well and then it goes away, my year warranty is up and samsung said they can’t help me, any suggestions as to what it is and the cost for a service?

This is my Samsung lnt4661f 46" LCD and it's fried… I took it to a local TV repair shop, only to have them tell me there was nothing wrong, it never acted up. They had it for a week. I'm stumped. Thanks in advance for any help that is offered.

e.g. kdl-46v2500/2000
i am asking because i want to buy one of them but i am concerned about it not lasting more than 5-6 years

We just recently bought a Sharp Aquos 46″ LCD TV and it’s been working fine. I was flipping through the channels, and I don’t know if I pressed something, but all of a sudden the screen just went a dark navy blue color and I can’t flip to any other channel, nor can I turn the TV off. I tried with my remote and on the TV. I don’t know why nothing is working.
Any help would be awesome.

Samsung 46″ LCD-TV LE46A656 setup with a Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blueray player.

The TV was sold as having a screen refresh rate of 120Hz. There is nothing on the shipping box, TV or in the manual that identifies the TV as has a screen refresh rate of 120Hz. The TV was purchased through Dell. Several days have passed and they have not responded to my question. The TV was assembled in October of 2009.

I’ve got problem with my Samsung LE46A786R2FXXU tv. I’v spoken with Samsung tech teem and they told me that it’s connection problem (cables) not tv issue. i’ve changed cables an I’ve got still the same horizontal line on screen, but what curious – it happen not always. It’s on composite cable, hdmi cable (when i plug my X360) or VGA cable (when i plug my notebook). Please help me!!!
